About the scholarship
EU Mobility Programme for Myanmar (EMPM) Batch 5 will open for applications in September 2025 for virtual Global Opportunities and physical Global Opportunities (Yangon).
Virtual Global Opportunities Scholarship – Microcredentials and Internship
The Virtual Global Opportunities offer up to one semester (up to 15 weeks) of short-term Virtual Micro-Credential courses and Virtual Internships. The programmes are designed to develop skills and build competencies across disciplines in various settings, while also offering networking opportunities for Myanmar’s young professionals and recent graduates.
Physical Global Opportunities Scholarship – Physical Internship in Yangon
The Physical Global Opportunities Scholarship offers an on-site internship programme in Yangon. The programme aims to identify meaningful and relevant opportunities for Myanmar’s recent graduates and young professionals to upskill and gain experience beyond formal education. It also provides access to professional networks that will support their future job searches. The on-site internship lasts up to one semester (six months) at partner companies in Yangon.
Criteria
The applicants should meet the following requirements
- Young professionals and recent graduates of Myanmar nationality, aged 18 to 35, who have been affected by recent issues with employment.
- Not currently receiving any other scholarships or funding.
- Possess excellent English language skills.
- For the Physical Internship (Yangon), applicants must be residing in Myanmar.
- Able to provide
- Letter of Acceptance from EMPM Partner University or Institution
- CV (Europass format)
