At ASEAN’s main education meetings in Singapore, the EU–ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package – Higher Education Programme (SCOPE-HE) shared its progress as education ministers launched a new regional Work Plan that explicitly includes SCOPE-HE among its planned activities.

The H2O Summer Course: Building Resilience Highland to Ocean (H2O): The Role of Nature-Based Solutions in Supporting a Sustainable Blue Economy officially concluded on Tidung Island, one of Indonesia's Thousand Islands, on 12 July 2026, marking the end of an eleven-day programme that brought together students, researchers, academics and practitioners from Europe, Southeast Asia, and partner institutions from other regions.

Knowledge sharing and exchanging practical experiences play an important role in COIL VE. That is why COILectiVE NL brings together professionals from vocational and higher education who work with COIL VE: an educational approach in which students and educators collaborate online across borders on shared projects and learning activities. They do so to exchange practical experiences and to continue building together on the development of international and intercultural competences.

For the Spatial Development and Public Administration programmes at Saxion University of Applied Sciences, internationalisation is no longer an add-on, but an integral part of the curriculum. Students learn to work with different perspectives – essential for future spatial planners, urban designers, sustainability advisers and public administration professionals.
