EU and ASEAN highlights urgent need to align vocational training with agri-food sector demands

How do you ensure that Internationalisation at Home is embedded in your educational institution? An exploratory study shows which stakeholders are involved in Vocational Education, Universities of Applied Sciences and Research Universities in the Netherlands – and how their roles and positions can vary greatly. Understanding this diversity helps with the targeted and systemic implementation of IaH.

The project “Automatic Recognition in the European Education Area 2030” (AR2030) supports key recognition priorities of the European Education Area (EEA). AR2030 has a particular focus on automatic mutual recognition and the fair and smooth evaluation of qualifications, including those of third-country nationals.

The project “Beyond Recognition: Enhancing Credential Evaluation Impact through Stakeholder Outreach” (REACH) strengthens ENIC-NARIC offices' capacity to demonstrate and improve the effectiveness of their credential evaluation services through systematic stakeholder engagement.

Vinod Subramaniam (1967) is Chairman of the Executive Board of the University of Twente. Prior to this, he was Rector Magnificus of the VU University in Amsterdam for six years.

Gaby Allard (MPhil) is member of the Executive Board of ROC of Amsterdam-Flevoland. Her portfolio includes the following: educational development, quality assurance, research and innovation.

Ewald van Vliet is chair of the Executive Board of Stichting Lucas Onderwijs, a school board for regular and special primary and secondary education that caters to approximately 36,000 students in the Haaglanden region.

Rob Verhofstad (born in 1972) is chair of the Executive Board of Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen (HAN).
