Our programmes
As representative of Dutch higher education in the region, we manage programmes that strengthen international cooperation and capacity building. Funded by the Dutch government and the European Union, these initiatives promote knowledge exchange, partnerships, and sustainable development.
EU Mobility Programme for Myanmar (EMPM)
EMPM is a 5 million Euros EU-funded pilot project that will run for a total duration of 48 months (January 2023 – December 2026). The programme aims to protect Myanmar’s next generation human capital with education and training through enhancing options for online learning and mobility for students and young professionals who are affected by recent interruptions of university education and employment.
EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package – Higher Education Programme (SCOPE-HE)
SCOPE-HE is an EU-funded programme, which is part of the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package and aims to improve sustainable connectivity between the EU and ASEAN and within ASEAN.
Dutch Training & Exposure Programme (DUTEP)
DUTEP focuses on integrated urban water management in Indonesia. It provides opportunities for government staff to learn from best practices, through research, exposure, and training with host institutions in the Netherlands.
LPDP - Netherlands Joint Scholarship Programme
The LPDP - Netherlands joint scholarship programme aims to optimise the resources that the collaborating organisation have by focusing on specific areas that are mutually relevant and important to Indonesia’s development priorities, the development of key expertise in the Dutch knowledge sector, and the bilateral cooperation agenda of the two countries. Please note: this scholarship programme is currently on pause.

Netherlands–Southeast Asia Semiconductor Short Talent Programme
In collaboration with the Dutch government, Dutch universities, and Netherlands Embassies in the Southeast Asia region, the programme will be conducted for approximately two weeks at Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 11 to 22 August 2025. It is designed for active Master’s students in STEM-related fields from selected universities across six Southeast Asian countries — Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
