Supporting improved access to the labour market for healthcare professionals with foreign diplomas: read how, together with partners in The Hague, we activate unused talent and contribute to solutions for the shortage in the healthcare sector. 

Over one in five graduates from a university of applied science or a research university had an international experience during their studies, either by physically going abroad or through digital international collaborations (DICs). It turns out the latter option is more accessible to students.

From 1 January 2025, Imke Frijters will start as interim director of Nuffic. Imke has extensive managerial experience within the public sector. Until recently, she worked as interim managing director at housing association Volksbelang. She will fill the role at Nuffic until 1 August 2025 .

Nuffic and insurer Aon have renewed their cooperation for three years. With the jointly developed 'Aon Scholarship', some twenty international students have already received a substantial financial contribution during their studies in recent years, since 2021.

After nearly four years, Titia Bredée is stepping down as director-general of Nuffic. Over the past years, Titia Bredée has made significant contributions to Nuffic, especially in strengthening (inter)national relations with stakeholders.

Higher education institutions are facing a number of dilemmas when it comes to recognising short learning experiences. Fortunately, there is a growing willingness to streamline the evaluation of micro-credentials internationally. This is good news for education, the labor market and the students themselves.
