Internationalisation at Home (IaH) does not look the same everywhere. What works depends, among other things, on the educational context, the region and the student population. At the same time, many of the challenges are recognisable across borders.

In this webinar, we look at IaH in practice in Chile and Colombia. How do higher education institutions there approach IaH? How do they combine local and regional perspectives with an international outlook? And what can we learn from these approaches for Dutch higher education?

We will explore, among other things, how to move from ambitions and temporary projects towards a sustainable approach. We will also discuss regional internationalisation, the connection between the local and the international, and how perspectives from Indigenous communities can be incorporated into education.

In short: a webinar about IaH across borders - and about what we can learn from each other.

Eva Haug, educational adviser for curriculum internationalisation and COIL/VE at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, will introduce the webinar. Drawing on her years of collaboration with Latin America, she will explain why it is valuable to look beyond Europe when exploring Internationalisation at Home.

We will then hear from education professionals from Learn Chile and CCYK, national organisations that promote the internationalisation of education in Chile and Colombia. They will share examples and insights from their own practice, exploring how Internationalisation at Home is taking shape in both countries and what Dutch higher education can learn from these experiences.

After the speakers' contributions, there will be an opportunity for a short joint reflection and questions.
