Holland Scholarship becomes NL scholarship
Since January 2020, the Netherlands no longer presents itself abroad as 'Holland'. The new positioning emphasizes the letters 'NL'. In line with this, Study in Holland already transitioned to the new name 'Study in NL' in 2022. To align the Holland Scholarship with the national NL brand, its name will be changed to NL scholarship.
The Holland Scholarship, now NL scholarship, is a scholarship programme for incoming and outgoing students and has been in existence since 2015. During this time, over 10,000 scholarships have been awarded, allowing students from all over the world to study in the Netherlands and Dutch students to gain international experience in various countries.
What will change?
The NL scholarship will remain fundamentally the same. The scholarship will continue to be available for incoming and outgoing students and can be applied for through participating colleges and universities.
The main change lies in the name and visual materials. There is a new logo, and new communication materials will also be available soon. These resources will inform Dutch and international students about the opportunities and will be made available through StudyinNL.
Another change is that the scholarship amount for outgoing students will be increased to €2,500 starting from the academic year 2024-2025. These changes will be included in the new Implementation Plan for institutions, which will be published soon.
