Do you work in Dutch Vocational Education and Training (VET), a university of applied sciences, or a research university? Then this symposium is relevant for you. It offers space for strategic deep dive and practical exchange, bringing together policy, research, and educational practice.

Get inspired, meet colleagues, and discover how you can (further) implement COIL VE in your education.

The COILectiVE NL Symposium focuses on the future role of COIL VE within Internationalisation at Home.
It brings together a range of perspectives - from policy and strategy to research and educational practice - and highlights how COIL VE continues to develop in the Netherlands.

The symposium is organised in collaboration with the Centre of Expertise Global & Inclusive Learning at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and COILectiVE NL, the Dutch national knowledge hub for COIL VE in vocational education and higher education. It responds to the growing need for knowledge sharing and collaboration in the field.

  • In-depth insight into content and strategy: gain a better understanding of how COIL VE is developing within Internationalisation at Home
  • Connecting policy and practice: explore how curriculum development, implementation, and collaboration come together
  • Exchange with peers: engage with professionals from vocational education, universities of applied sciences, and research universities on education, policy, and strategy
  • Practical takeaways: gain insights and examples you can apply in your own context, even if you’re just getting started

Whether you already have experience with COIL VE or are still exploring how it can be integrated into your teaching, the symposium offers space for both in-depth exploration and practical exchange.

The symposium is intended for professionals in vocational and higher education working on internationalisation and educational development, such as:
