Titia Bredée new Director-General of Nuffic
In August, Titia Bredée will start as the new Director-General of Nuffic, the Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education. Bredée is currently chairman of Helicon Opleidingen, an organisation for green education with vmbo- and mbo-schools in Noord-Brabant and Gelderland. Bredée succeeds Lem van Eupen, who acted as managing director after the previous Director-General, Freddy Weima, was appointed chairman of the PO-Raad.
"Internationalisation and education have been recurring themes in my career," says Titia Bredée. "I'm delighted to be able to combine my professional and managerial knowledge at Nuffic. I'm keen to use my new role to contribute, together with my colleagues, to the education of global citizens for an international labour market and a sustainable future."
Bredée has extensive experience within education. Before she became chairman of Helicon Opleidingen in 2018, she was chairman of University of Applied Sciences iPabo. Before that, she worked at Avans University of Applied Sciences and Utrecht University, among others.
Driven and involved
"The Supervisory Board is convinced that with the appointment of Titia Bredée, Nuffic gains a very driven and involved director," says Bert van der Zwaan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Nuffic. "Titia Bredée has an impressive track record within the world of education. In addition, she has a great passion for internationalisation. We believe that, with her extensive experience and broad background, she is the ideal person to lead Nuffic in the coming period and to achieve the objectives of the new organisation, in which flexibility and effectiveness are paramount."
