Resignation of Titia Bredée as director-general of Nuffic

After nearly four years, Titia Bredée is stepping down as director-general of Nuffic. Over the past years, Titia Bredée has made significant contributions to Nuffic, especially in strengthening (inter)national relations with stakeholders.

This has led to Nuffic’s participation as co-chair in ministerial knowledge missions to Indonesia and South Africa. Additionally, the collaboration with sister organizations such as the British Council, Campus France, DAAD, and IIE has been considerably strengthened. The relationship with executive boards in all educational sectors has also improved through numerous executive visits.

As of January 1, 2025, Titia will join Wesselo in Utrecht as a senior consultant in executive search. Although she looks forward to her new role, she leaves Nuffic with a heavy heart. Nuffic staff will miss Titia as a passionate leader and dedicated colleague.

Bert van der Zwaan, Chair of the Supervisory Board: “We are very grateful to Titia for all the work she has done with great enthusiasm and for how far she has brought Nuffic. In the coming period, we will focus on her succession.”

Titia Bredée: “I have greatly enjoyed working with all my colleagues in The Hague and in our international offices to advance our mission. At the same time, I see a consolidation phase approaching, which given the budget cuts will require a different approach to the organization’s management.”
