Nuffic statement on the situation in Ukraine

We are shocked by the current events in Ukraine. We condemn any form of violence and view the current situation in Ukraine with sadness. We sympathise with all people who are directly or indirectly affected by this and hope for a speedy and peaceful solution.

At Nuffic we believe in the importance of international collaboration and that we are all world citizens. Through internationalisation in education, we are committed to a peaceful and prosperous world, in which there is mutual understanding. Reaching out and collaborating across borders is essential. We support the Sustainable Development Goals, among which inclusive and equitable quality education for all.

The situation in Eastern Europe also affects internationalisation in education. We monitor the situation closely and collect all signals we receive from institutions, students and through our networks.
