WINNER Conference

The 3rd annual WINNER (the Week of Indonesia-Netherlands Education and Research) will take place from 18 – 20 October 2022, in which attendees are able to participate in online sessions and be inspired by existing and future collaborations.

Program

This year’s theme encompasses a multitude of collaborations and questions, in fundamental and applied sciences, in natural, social, technical and health sciences and humanities, and between academics, businesses, NGOs and public organisations. It continues to emphasize the need for interdisciplinary approaches and multi-stakeholder engagement needed to address global challenges and achieve the SDGs.
How do we innovate, both technologically and socially, for greener economies? Which tradeoffs in SDGs are there in a blue economy? What effect does a digital society have on our healthcare, or the way we interact with each other, including in knowledge collaboration? How does knowledge help to change the way we produce and interact?

The WINNER program consists of different parts and the following are invited to open the conference: BRIN chairman Pak Handoko, Minister of Education, Culture and Science Robbert Dijkgraaf and Minister Kemendikbud Ristek Nadiem Makarim of Indonesia.

The sessions are divided into themes such as Equality of Global Public Health, Digital Economies and Societies, but also From Indonesia-Netherlands new pathways for knowledge exchange. With this program WINNER wants to strengthen the link between the two countries and exchange knowledge on current topics. The conference is for both Dutch and Indonesian students, researchers, and anyone else involved in these topics. You can register for the conference here.

In addition to sessions on the various themes, the Poster session is also on the program. The deadline to register for this session is September 15, and is intended to bring researchers and students, but also SDG enthusiasts and companies from the Netherlands or Indonesia in contact with each other's research.
Also taking place is the Study in Indonesia Virtual Expo, an excellent opportunity for international students to meet and explore, and get to know the Indonesian educational institutions. Here (Dutch) students can discover what kind of programs are offered, and what possibilities there are to study in Indonesia.
