Webinar: Roundtable for National information centres

This online meeting 'A rountable reflection across regions', is organised to discuss the framework for a publication on how to establish and operate a successful National Information Centre (NIC) for recognition of foreign qualification.

Within the European Commissions' Erasmus+ funded "AR2026" project, a group of ENIC-NARICs is developing a publication how to establish and operate a successful National Information Centre (NIC) for recognition of foreign qualification.

The objective is to develop a publication that can serve as a source of expertise and inspiration that is useful for all UNESCO region's and includes good practice from around the world. It aims to also provide transparency in the diversity of practices within the recognition community, thus building on trust and strengthening of the recognition community.

This meeting is organised to discuss the framework for this publication. In doing so AR2030 aims to develop a publication that is truly useful for the envisaged end - users: both existing NICs that seek inspiration and countries in the process to establish their NICS.

Programme

To achieve this, the agenda is organised around the following questions:
• What is the legal and de facto framework for operating a NIC in the different regions?
• What makes for a good National Information Centre?
• What can a National Information Centre do to continuously strive for development and improvement?

By jointly reflecting on these questions, the project team aims to achieve the establishment of a structure to further develop the publication and collect good practices.
