Description

Just like last year, we are delighted to offer again a number of spots for this learning track. It is a unique opportunity for lecturers from other Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences to take part in this successful internal learning track.

The learning track consists of five 60-minute webinars and five 90-minute online workshops. Nuffic is able to offer 25 spots for the webinars and 5 spots for the workshops. The language of instruction is English.

Programme

Below you can find the topics covered per session. During the workshops, you will delve deeper into the topics of the webinar and work concretely with the tools and models provided.

Session 1: How interculturally aware are you?

During this session, you will learn the difference between Internationalisation at Home and Internationalisation of the curriculum. We will go into the importance of self awareness, the social identity wheel and you will be introduced to the Culture Map.

Session 2: How internationalisation ready is your module?

This is the first of two sessions on internationalising a module. The goal of this session is to discuss the rationale(s) of an internationalised curriculum and gaining an understanding of what an internationalised curriculum is.

Session 3: How interculturally ready is your module?

We will zoom into the design of an internationalised curriculum. We will work with the programme logic model to understand how constructive alignment can be achieved in teaching, learning and assessment in the process of internationalising a module and its learning outcomes.

Session 4: How interculturally ready is your classroom?

During this session we will zoom in on the activities part of the Programme Logic Game and we will focus on the tools you can use to implement internationalisation in your classroom.

Session 5: How globally connected are you? Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) design

This session deals with virtual or online collaboration. You will learn what online collaboration is, what it’s not and how you can introduce it in your module.
