COIL VE for lecturers series
Are you a lecturer or teacher in Dutch vocational education (mbo) or higher education and ready to get started with Collaborative Online International Learning Virtual Exchange (COIL VE)? In this five-session, interactive online series, experts Eva Haug (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences), Reinout Klamer (The Hague University of Applied Sciences) and Rob Kuipers (Nuffic) support you in developing your own COIL VE project together with peers from across the sector.
Deadline for applying: 20 February
Across five interactive online sessions, participants are guided through the fundamentals of COIL VE - from understanding core concepts and building partnerships to designing collaborative learning activities and assessment. By the end of the series, you will have developed a concrete plan for your own COIL VE project.
Because COIL VE is inherently collaborative, we encourage you to participate together with a colleague from your international partner institution. If you do not yet have a partner, you will work with others in the group on developing your COIL VE practice.
Following the series, a partner-finding event will take place, offering an additional opportunity to connect with potential partners based on your project ideas.
Learning outcomes
After completing this series, you will have:
- a clear understanding of what COIL VE entails;
- insight into how COIL VE connects to Internationalisation at Home (IaH) and internationalisation in education;
- practical tools for designing, facilitating and assessing a COIL VE project;
- developed your own COIL VE plan, including learning goals, activities and assessment;
- shared knowledge with peers and received feedback from fellow participants and experts;
- expanded your professional network with peers, experts and partner institutions.
Why join this series?
- You will work with lecturers who are also starting with COIL VE, allowing you to learn together and exchange ideas.
- The sessions are highly interactive and practice-oriented. You will work on your own project, resulting in a concrete COIL VE plan you can put into practice.
- You will receive direct feedback from experts and peers on your ideas and plans.
In short: this series offers a valuable professional development opportunity that you do not want to miss.
