Our vision
Together with European partner organisations and the EU Commission we work on programmes that go beyond Europe, focusing on global education, training, and research collaboration.
Our core mission is to enhance worldwide socio-economic development, equity, sustainability, prosperity, and peace through global knowledge sharing. In our work with and beyond the EU, we act as intermediaries, facilitators, developers, and advisors, making a lasting impact both locally and globally. With substantial experience in international education and research partnerships, we promote knowledge diplomacy by connecting education, research, and public and private sectors.
EU Pillar Assessed
After an extensive external review we now have received the status “EU Pillar Assessed ". As an ‘EU Pillar Assessed’ organisation, we can engage in direct dialogue with EU Delegations and partner countries regarding the development and management of new collaboration programmes.
Erasmus+
Nuffic serves as the Dutch National Agency for Erasmus+ on behalf of the European Commission. Erasmus+ gives people in the Netherlands, particularly young people, the opportunity to study, train, gain work experience and volunteer abroad with the aim to boost their skills and employability. Erasmus+ also supports transnational partnerships among education, training and youth institutions and organisations to foster cooperation and bridge the worlds of education and work in order to tackle the skills gaps we are facing in Europe. It also supports Dutch national efforts to modernise education, training and youth systems.

The programmes we manage – mostly funded by the Dutch government - are designed to match our government's goals for development aid and education. Besides programmes from the Dutch Government, we are also consortium partners in the following programmes funded by the European Union:
