"Let's play Math", an engaging and dynamic workshop which will focus on centering language, content, and culture in math! Which principles do we need to consider for mathematics instruction for second or third language learners? Participants are going to experience, by being involved in hands-on activities, how to recognize the complexity of language in math classrooms and support students in engaging in this complexity. Let's play math is going to be an active workshop. Participants will master how to promote language in math and get a feel for learning in a classroom that support language, mathematics, and identity development.
