Summary

Of all VET graduates who obtained their diploma in 2022, 3.8% completed a study-related period abroad. More specifically, 2.8% of all VET graduates in 2022 completed an internship abroad, 0.4% went on study-exchange and 0,5% did both during their study.

Most VET graduates who had a study-related period abroad, graduated from a programme within the education field of Travel & Hospitality. VET graduates who obtained a level 4 diploma, were most likely to go abroad for a study-related period.

Note: the number of VET graduates who completed a study-related period abroad declined significantly due to travel restrictions because of covid.
