Bilingual primary schools

In bilingual primary education children are taught in English for 30% to 50% of the day, from age 4.

This type of education is currently being researched in a pilot with 19 Dutch primary schools.

You can find a list of the 19 participating schools on our Dutch website:

Children who attended school abroad

If you are relocating to Holland from abroad and are looking for schools, keep this in mind: at least 50% of the day the children still speak Dutch at these schools. A very young child who doesn't yet speak Dutch will probably adapt very quickly and pick up the language.

But if you are looking for schools with a completely English curriculum, you can check the website of the Foundation for International Education in the Netherlands.
