Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP)

On 1 July 2017 the Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) entered a new phase as a new programme under the name Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP).

OKP aims to advance the development of the capacity, knowledge and quality of both individuals and institutions in higher and vocational education. 

Start-up phase OKP - Short Courses

After formal publication of the subsidy and policy outline in the Dutch Staatscourant, the start of OKP will be confirmed. Please note that until that time adjustments could still be made to comply with the policy outline.

In the first OKP round there will be scholarships for Short Courses.

The short course scholarship application deadline is open for candidates from 28 partner countries Further information regarding the remaining other OKP countries and expected future deadlines will follow soon

After this first application round there may be changes in the country list.

How to apply for a short course scholarship 

If you want to apply for a OKP scholarship for a short course in the Netherlands, you need to first find a course that is eligible for the scholarship. You can find the eligible courses in our study programmes database, specifying in the search criteria: ‘NFP qualified – Yes’.

The deadline for application opens 5 September 2017. The closing date differs per institution. For more information about the closing date, please contact the institution directly.

Once you have selected an eligible short course, please contact the Dutch higher education institution offering that course. They can tell you how to apply and inform you about the eligibility criteria and the application and selection procedures.

Funding and management

The 5-year OKP programme is initiated and funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Nuffic.
