Semi-finals and finals GNE Awards by Nuffic

On 18 April the semi-finals and finals of the GNE Awards by Nuffic will take place at Deltion College in Zwolle. During the event, 16 students will deliver an impromptu speech on a topic given to them just 15 minutes in advance. After the semi-finals, 8 students will compete in the finals. Special attention will be given to the 8 essays of the finalists of the Young Writers Award. The winners and runners-up will be announced at the end of the event.

The winner of the Public Speaking Award will travel to London in May to compete in the International Public Speaking Competition of the English-Speaking Union. The winner of the Young Writers Award will visit the Amsterdam-based journalism platform De Correspondent.


The event is free of charge, but seats are limited. Participating students, family, friends and teachers will be given priority.
