What is Elos?

Elos is a European network of national Elos networks. Every national network is led by its national or regional coordinator.

The European network is led by the Management Team, which consists of various members of the European network from different countries. All important strategic decisions are taken by the Management Team, which is advised on many occasions by the national and regional coordinators.

The beginning of Elos lies in a meeting of European school leaders and educational civil servants in The Hague (the Netherlands) in the summer of 2004. Now that Elos is 10 years old we could say it’s is in its teens. Its potential is obvious however, the future of Elos is not yet set in stone.

Now in its third European project, the focus point of Elos is currently on quality review and dissemination. Earlier projects focused on the development of frameworks and on quality standards.
