Who can participate?

These sessions are intended for professionals in vocational and higher education who work with refugee students and/or who make policies for refugee students. Examples are international officers, policy workers and program leaders. We are looking for participants who are interested in learning more about the obstacles refugee students face in the Netherlands, and who are passionate about developing solutions.

Aim and structure

The purpose of the sessions is to bring together information that will help refugee students in the Netherlands experience fewer obstacles during their studies. The end result will benefit the whole Dutch vocational and higher education field. The outcome of the work sessions is expected to be available in October 2022.
During the sessions, the participants will gain insight into the opportunities and challenges refugee students face in tertiary education. There will also be an opportunity to share best practices. The focus of the sessions is on collaborating to make an informative product that contributes to a positive study experience for refugee students in the Netherlands.
