Qualifications frameworks

The Irish qualifications framework is the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ). The NFQ has 10 levels, from secondary education to the doctorate.

The NFQ is linked to the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). QQI is the organisation responsible for monitoring the qualifications framework and providing information about it.
