Project description
One of the main objectives of the Ministry of National Education is to increase the coverage of higher education in remote and marginalised areas of Colombia.
The Department of Management Support for Higher Education Institutions (IES) is responsible for generating and implementing mechanisms and actions that improve the institutional capacity of the higher education institutions, in line with the general mission of the Vice Ministry of Higher Education.
Despite the progress achieved in the coverage policy and the development of related activities, challenges remain in developing strategies for achieving the decentralisation objectives.
This project is expected to provide IES civil servants with theoretical and technical tools to strengthen the higher education decentralisation strategy. In addition, the project will help to determine the strategies on which the Ministry can invest resources and make policy decisions.
