Indonesia still faces institutional challenges at all governance levels. Dutch efforts in good governance indirectly contribute to the efforts to improve the Indonesian business climate.
Dutch assistance, mainly through multilateral channels, focuses on democratic, environmental governance, the quality of the civil service in terms of transparency, accountability, the rule of law, human rights, internal stability and human security.
