In each NICHE country, a Programme Outline is developed at country level according to a locally agreed process. A Programme Outline also comprises one or more sectoral Plans of Implementation.
Matrix
The Programme Outline is condensed into an overview or matrix (annex 1 to the Programme Outline). This matrix gives a clear insight into the policy framework that will guide NICHE in that particular country and in the selected sectors. In addition to these matrices Nuffic also publishes an edited web version of each Programme Outline.
Yearly reviews
Programme Outlines and Plans of Implementation are subject to change as they are annually reviewed by the signatories and Nuffic. This means that the matrices may also change in due course.
In the pipeline
Nuffic also publishes a NICHE project pipeline, a list of projects that are expected to be published in the next three months. These projects should contribute to achieving the programme objectives and outcomes which have been defined for the country and the selected sector(s) in which NICHE projects will be implemented.
Hence, the objectives and outcomes of a project should have a clear and causal link with those defined for the NICHE programme at sector and country level.
