Seminar 'Gender in NICHE' for Dutch implementers

Nuffic is organizing a seminar to facilitate gender integration in NICHE projects.

Many organizations implementing NPT or NICHE projects struggle to integrate gender issues in projects. This is demonstrated by the fact that most NPT projects failed to achieve substantial changes in terms of gender equality. It is therefore important to increase commitment and improve knowledge of gender mainstreaming at all levels.

NICHE projects must integrate gender issues in order to achieve long-lasting positive changes. Through this seminar Nuffic offers potential Dutch implementers of NICHE projects the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of and commitment to gender. This will enable them to design and deliver projects that make a real contribution to gender equality.

- Connecting the NICHE gender strategy with NPT/NICHE experiences and discussing the consequences for NICHE projects

- Presenting the reports from workshops in plenary
- How to ensure that what we are starting in 2010 is maintained throughout NICHE and beyond: individual action planning
