What does the scholarship cover?

20 Jan 2012

The Dutch Minister for Education, Culture and Science has made funds available for good quality students coming to the Netherlands under the China Programme.

Academic year

Important: the 2013-2014 academic year starts on 1 September 2013. All scholarships awarded will start from that date, and not earlier. A scholarship start date later in the academic year is possible, however, no later than 1 January 2014.

Dutch contribution

The Dutch contribution to the scholarships is as follows:

  • monthly allowance: € 1,000;
  • contribution for international travel costs: € 1,400;
  • contribution for tuition/research fee: € 1,713;
  • contribution for visa application: € 600;
  • contribution for insurance: € 400.

NB: Please note that final amounts are yet to be determined.
