The Holland Alumni conference 2011 took place at NH Hotels in The Hague on 26 and 27 May. This two-day conference was organised by Nuffic and commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Through this conference Nuffic aimed to facilitate international knowledge networks, strengthen alumni networks and help alumni gain knowledge and skills that contribute to their further career and their relation with the Netherlands.
For whom?
The conference programme was aimed at Holland Alumni who are interested in broadening their international network, improving their skills and representing Dutch higher education abroad.
Programme
The two-day programme offered 200 selected applicants an exciting programme with case studies and skills training. On the first day participants exchanged knowledge in international teams in relation to the issues: climate change, food security, information technology, water management and sustainability.
On the second day a variety of training sessions were offered that address skills participants can use in their further careers.
