Fourth annual Day of the International Student was the biggest ever
04 Apr 2011
The fourth annual Day of the International Student, organized by Nuffic on Saturday 7 November, was the biggest ever, drawing more than 2300 international students to the World Forum in The Hague to join in the event.
Nuffic organizes the Day of the International Student each year as a way of thanking all the many students from around the globe who have chosen the Netherlands as their study destination. This fact was emphasized by Nuffic Director Sander van den Eijnden in his brief introductory speech, which he delivered after the Rocky Show Brass Band had warmed up the audience with their smooth Latin-American rhythms.
This year’s event was once again made possible thanks to the generous support of the Municipality of The Hague and donations from sponsors. These were AON, the ABN-AMRO Bank, Concept Communicatie en Design, The Hague University of Applied Sciences and Undutchables.
