IBS Groningen awarded NIBS international accreditation
20 Apr 2010
The International Business School of the Hanze University Groningen, University of Applied Sciences (IBS) recently received accreditation by the Network of International Business Schools (NIBS).
The NIBS Accreditation Panel found that the IBS was a ’comprehensively international institution’. They also noted that students of the IBS are empowered to choose their study place abroad based on study results, which is unique according to the panel.
Another aspect in favour of the IBS is that it provides a learning environment where everyone is used to communicating in English, instead of only offering lessons conducted in English.
International Accreditation
NIBS Accreditation is not intended as a competitor to other bodies such as AACSB or EQUIS, rather it focuses on the degree to which an undergraduate business school has become international in all facets of its organization. The NIBS Accreditation scheme can be used as a supplement to other accreditations, as well as an award in its own right.
Fifteen schools have been accredited by NIBS since 2008.
