When I told my friends I was going to Netherlands for my MBA, they all asked me: why the Netherlands? In my mind, the only reason is that I want to experience more of the world.
I am here in Rotterdam for more than a month. Now, I am so in love with the lifestyle and study environment here. Looking out of my window, I can see a clock tower. I figured out that almost every building nearby is built with bricks. The landscape is completely different from my home country.
At school I always use English for conversation because there are 38 different nationalities in my class. Through discussions, teamwork, and studying together, I get to know different cultures, customs, and ways of thinking. Can you imagine everyone trying really hard to convince others to take his idea with different accents? Yes, that is what always happens in my class and I am enjoying brainstorming in class discussions.
Social contacts
The most exciting part of school life is partying. There are always parties at the weekend. I am not a so-called “party animal”, but I do love joining every party. To me, the best way to get along with people is to go to the parties, and to get chances to taste different cuisines and to enjoy different cultures.
In my opinion, the best part of studying in the Netherlands is that you are able to meet people from all over the world, experience the diversity among people and have an opportunity to work with an international team. What a precious experience it is! I believe I made the right choice and I am quite sure studying in the Netherlands will be the most cherished time in my whole life.
