How much is the registration fee?
At present the Nuffic Certificate is issued free of charge.
Can my Chinese recruitment agency or someone else apply for a Nuffic Certificate on my behalf?
Yes. However, please bear in mind that if your agency submits incorrect information or falsified documents, you will be held responsible.
How long will it take for Nuffic to issue my Nuffic Certificate?
Once a file is complete, the average processing time is 20-25 working days, but in special cases it may take up to two months. Please bear in mind that winter/summer holiday periods and national holidays may extend the processing time.
I need the Nuffic Certificate soon. Do you have a fast-track application procedure?
No. We recommend that you apply for the Nuffic Certificate at least four months prior to your planned departure for the Netherlands.
Can I apply for more than one Nuffic Certificate?
Yes. You can choose a maximum of four programmes. If you wish to submit more than four options, please send a substantiating letter to certificate[at]nuffic.nl. Once you have made your final decision, kindly send us a letter by email to withdraw the other programmes.
I submitted my application a few days ago. Why haven't I received a notification yet?
Please make sure that your email address as entered on the application form is correct and that the notification email has not been marked as spam.
Can I contact Nuffic to check whether my documents have been received?
There is no need to contact Nuffic. You can log in to the Nuffic Certificate online application system and check your status using the 'online status tracker'.
I have sent additional documents / new information / a request for changes to Nuffic a few days ago. Why is my status still the same?
Please check your status again in a few days.
How do I withdraw my application?
Please email us at certificate[at]nuffic.nl. Note that you will also need to inform the Dutch institution about your withdrawal.
