Once we have received your application documents, we will check whether your file is complete and whether the scans are clear and legible. If this is not the case, you will be informed via email. Please note that we cannot start the verification process until your file is complete!
Nuffic recommends that you submit all necessary documents as early as possible so that you can start your study programme on time.
Issuing the certificate
Nuffic will send the certificate directly to your host institution in the Netherlands, and will inform you of the final result by email on the same day. Please check the junk mail folder of your mailbox to make sure that no messages from Nuffic end up as spam.
Duration of the procedure
Once we have received all required documents, we typically need about 20-25 working days to assess your application. During the winter/summer holiday period, this may take longer (up to two months).
Online status tracking
Applicants can check the progress of their applications by clicking on the 'View Certification Status' button in the Nuffic Certificate Online Application System. Applicants who request Nuffic (by email) to change information in their application (e.g. change of programme), can check the new information online.

As of 1 June 2010, the Nuffic Certificate is issued by Nuffic in The Hague.
