Documents required for application

When applying for a Nuffic Certificate, students are required to provide Nuffic with all of the following documents:
- Nuffic Certificate application form
Please complete the digital application form online. If the form is not correctly filled in, the procedure may take longer. - English proficiency test report
A clear scan of a valid English test report is also required. We accept only IELTS (academic) or TOEFL iBT (Internet-based) tests.
Please note that the Overall Band score of the English test should match the minimum language requirement of the international programme for which you are applying. If the test score does not match the language requirement, your application for a Nuffic Certificate will be rejected. - Diplomas, degrees and transcripts, with English translations
- huikao or xueye shuiping kaoshi
If you are a secondary school student or graduate, you are required to provide copies of both your secondary school diploma or a schooling statement and your huikao or xueye shuiping kaoshi result.
- gaokao
If you are applying for a bachelor's degree programme, you are required to provide copies of your secondary school diploma or a schooling statement, as well as a huikao (or xueye shuiping kaoshi) result. If you are applying for a bachelor's degree programme at a Dutch research university, you must also submit a schooling certificate from a Chinese university or a gaokao result.
- If you are applying for a master's degree programme, you are required to provide copies of your diploma, degree and transcripts from the university where you obtained your bachelor's degree.
Please note that if your educational background does not meet the entry requirements of the programme, or if your school is not recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education, your application will be rejected.
- Passport or ID card
Please make sure that the photos on the scanned copy of your passport or ID card are clear enough to identify you.
Please note that you cannot change your documents after they have been submitted to Nuffic, and that Nuffic will not return any documents to students after submission. You may, however, send Nuffic supplementary documents during the application procedure.
