Start-up capital for an NAA

27 Oct 2009

A local Netherlands Alumni Association can apply to the NFP for a start-up grant. Any funding made available is primarily to be used to create the necessary infrastructure and to guarantee the basic conditions needed for a successful start.

Please note the following when applying:

  • Only associations in one of the 61 NFP countries can apply for the start-up grant.
  • You need at least 20 members in order to apply for a start-up grant.
  • You need alumni from various Dutch institutions in your NAA, and at least 60% must be NFP alumni.
  • The application should be made by the NAA’s governing board, not by an individual.
  • Only NAAs that are officially registered in accordance with the local rules and regulations in the country in question can apply for a grant.
  • Any grant made to a new NAA will never exceed €3,000 and can only be used for initial start-up activities.
  • NAAs that have received a grant must report on the activities carried out within six months of completion of activities.
