Scholarships

The Dutch government is attempting to make Dutch higher education as accessible as possible to students and mid-career professionals from other countries. Nuffic manages a large number of programmes for purposes of exchange and cooperation in higher education.
There are schemes that foster cooperation between Dutch higher education institutions and partner institutions in other industrialized countries, including Central and Eastern European Countries. Student exchanges are a common feature of these schemes.
Subsidized education
In the Netherlands, higher education is subsidized, which means that tuition fees can be kept relatively low, especially when compared with the United Kingdom and the United States.
Exchange programmes
The easiest and cheapest way to study in the Netherlands is through an exchange programme. Many Dutch higher education institutions have exchange agreements with partner institutions in countries throughout the world. Exchange programmes and agreements are often limited to specific fields or disciplines.
