You obtained your diploma in the Netherlands and wish to work abroad. In some cases, you must complete a recognition procedure in the country in which you wish to live and work. The step-by-step plan set out below indicates the situation applicable to you.
Step 1
Do you wish to live and work in one of the member states of the European Union, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland?
- Yes: proceed to step 2.
- No, you are moving to another country: if you wish to do so, you can apply for a diploma description from Nuffic.
Step 2
The European Commission’s website provides an overview of regulated professions for each country. Is your profession regulated abroad?
- Yes: contact the National Contact Point for Professional Recognition (NCP) in the country in which you wish to base yourself for further information.
- No: you have free access to the labour market. If you wish to do so, you can apply for a diploma description from Nuffic.
