Monitoring and Evaluation

25 Aug 2011

Nuffic needs to keep a number of stakeholders informed of progress made in the NPT programme, including, for example, the Vice-Chancellor of your university and your Ministry of Education. Dutch stakeholders include the Royal Netherlands Embassy, the Dutch Minister for Development Cooperation and the Dutch Parliament.

The organizations implementing NPT projects, together with Nuffic, have to make sure all these parties are informed properly. We use Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) to achieve this.

In the NPT programme, Monitoring and Evaluation takes place at project and programme level.

At the project level

  • Project implementers are responsible for the internal Monitoring and Evaluation of their projects.
  • Nuffic carries out external monitoring and organizes the evaluation of the projects.

At the programme level

  • Nuffic is responsible for the internal monitoring and for organizing the evaluation of the NPT programme.
  • The Education and Research department (DSO) of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for the external monitoring and evaluation of the NPT programme.
