Below is an overview of the present status and the outcomes with regard to Governance in public universities.
Benchmark of the present status
- The leadership and management capacities of the new universities’ leadership are not yet optimal.
- Management of the universities has not yet been adjusted to the reform process.
Medium term outcome(s) 4 years
- The leadership of new universities has acquired the knowledge and skills to properly manage their institutions/faculties.
- The Higher Education Strategic Centre (HESC) has strengthened its core business in HE strategic and governance issues.
Longer term outcome(s) 8 years
- HE institutions perform better as a result of an improved institutional context and organizational system.
