The Netherlands currently has 15 partner countries. New NICHE projects will only be developed in these countries.
Former partner countries
All ongoing NICHE projects in former partner countries will be completed.
Programme outlines
In each NICHE country, a Programme Outline is developed at country level according to a locally agreed process. Programme Outlines also comprise one or more sectoral Plans of Implementation.
Matrix
The Programme Outline is condensed into an overview or matrix (annex 1 to the Programme Outline). This matrix gives a clear insight into the policy framework that will guide NICHE in that particular country and in the selected sectors. In addition to these matrices we also publish an edited web version of each Programme Outline.
Yearly reviews
Programme Outlines and Plans of Implementation are subject to change as they are annually reviewed by the signatories and Nuffic.
Projects should contribute to achieving the programme objectives and outcomes. Project objectives and outcomes should have a clear and causal link with those defined for the NICHE programme at sector and country level.
