The EAIE (European Association for International Education) conference in Nantes (France) saw the official launch of www.ScholarshipPortal.eu.
This website offers a centralized European platform for information about all scholarships offered for study in Europe. The database lists more than 700 different scholarships and grants amounting to an estimated yearly average of € 15.6 billion in funding. Students can now find suitable funding using search criteria such as nationality, background, field and destination of interest.
The website, which receives support from the European Lifelong Learning Programme, was developed by StudyPortals (Europe’s leader in the online study choice sector) and the Academic Cooperation Association (ACA; a European network of national organizations promoting internationalization in higher education). Nuffic and various other individual ACA network members have an active role in maintaining website quality and completeness of information.
