Nuffic finds new partner for Neso China

23 Jun 2010

Nuffic has found a new partner to jointly run a Netherlands Education Support Office (Neso) in China.

Nuffic’s new partner is the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE). The partnership was sealed on Monday 21 June, when Nuffic Director-General Sander van den Eijnden and CEAIE Secretary-General Jing Bo signed a Memorandum of Understanding at CEAIE’s offices in Beijing.

Cooperation in education and research

Established under the Chinese Ministry of Education, the CEAIE is supported by no less than 159 member institutions. Nuffic’s new partner organization is keen to promote the modernization of China through international cooperation in education and research, with a focus on mutual interests, equality and friendship.

Getting ready to start

The next few months will be used to put the CEAIE–Nuffic partnership into practice and to find suitable office premises for Neso China. The official opening date of the renewed Neso is yet to be determined.

Until then, Nuffic’s Head Office in The Hague will take over Neso China’s responsibilities.
