Outcome of the 1 May 2011 application round
21 Sep 2011
In the NFP 1 May 2011 application round we were able to award 41 fellowships for master's degree programmes and 206 fellowships for short course candidates.
The fellowships for short courses have been awarded to 102 women and 104 men from 42 countries. The fellowships for master's degree programmes have been awarded to 21 women and 20 men from 32 countries.
A lot of good applications
We received a lot of good applications and we are happy to see that so many mid-career professionals are motivated to study in the Netherlands and contribute to the development of their country.
However, as usual, the number of eligible applications largely exceeded the number of available NFP fellowships, so we had to disappoint many candidates. This application round it was particularly difficult to obtain a fellowship due to the budget cuts that have recently been imposed.
