Dear reader, I am pleased to introduce you to the new NFP-NPT-NICHE e-newsletter. The newsletter’s frequency remains quarterly with up to seven news items per newsletter.

New format

With this new and easier-to-use format we are creating a stronger link to programme information on our website. On the top right of the newsletter you will find a set of quick links that will take you directly to this information and to (upcoming) tenders. To read the full article just click on the ‘read more’ link below the short introduction and you will be redirected to our website.

NFP

We inform you about the latest changes on the NFP course list. We have interviewed two NFP masters students from Bhutan and Nepal about their (study) experience at Wageningen University. The Netherlands Alumni Association Kenya has submitted an article about its latest pre-departure briefing.

NPT

We bring you the success story of VocTech, an NPT project in Vietnam and an article about Zambian public universities.

NICHE

This edition gives you an update of the NICHE programme, which started about a year ago. Several Programme Outlines have now been signed, but a lot of work remains to be done. The first three tenders have now been published, with more tenders coming up shortly.

We hope you will enjoy the read and, as usual, we welcome your comments and suggestions to our mailbox.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year

Joep Houterman
Director Capacity Building and Scholarships
