About Nuffic offices

Nuffic’s head office is situated in The Hague in the Netherlands. The Nuffic Netherlands Education Support Offices (Nuffic Nesos) are located overseas.
Head office
In The Hague, a staff of around 200 professionals work together towards our goals. They administrate various scholarship programmes and institutional cooperation programmes, and evaluate credentials.
Nuffic also provides information for use in other countries on the type and nature of Dutch higher education, the curricula, diplomas, titles and degrees, as well as information about education systems in the rest of the world.
This information is also available through the overseas offices. Activities to promote Dutch higher education (and related products and services) on the international stage are also conducted in close cooperation with our overseas offices.
Nuffic Nesos
Our overseas offices are Netherlands Education Support Offices, Nuffic Nesos for short. The Nuffic Nesos operate in locations that are strategically important for Dutch higher education. The main task of a Nuffic Neso is to promote Dutch higher education and foster international institutional cooperation in order to increase student and staff mobility and related activities.
The offices also serve as a channel for information and provide support and liaison for the academic communities of the Netherlands and of the country they are situated in. They provide information and guidance regarding the choice of an international course or programme of education or training.
Neso core activities are:
- Generic promotion and student counselling
- Institutional cooperation
- Market information and analysis
- Holland Alumni networks
Our organization
Nuffic in The Hague is led by a Senior Management Team. The organization is divided into four directorates, each with its own specifics tasks. Please refer to our organizational chart for an overview. The Nuffic Nesos are part of the Education Promotion Department, under the Communication Directorate.
