Opening Neso Korea

06 Mar 2009

Neso Korea was officially opened at the end of October 2008 by Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Maxime Verhagen.

The opening was accompanied by speeches and marked with a tape- cutting ceremony and the cracking of a rice bottle. Distinguished guests from Korean universities, the Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and alumni were present.

In his speech, Minister Verhagen summarized the factors leading Neso Korea to open a branch in Seoul. ‘Korea is strong in the areas of research, innovation, creative companies, IT and nanotechnology, while the Dutch are strong in the areas of management and business studies, agricultural science, medicine, civil engineering, the arts and architecture.

Together, these working areas will provide a wealth of opportunities for fruitful cooperation.’
