Dutch Minister Delegation visits Neso China

On Monday 3 November 2008 the Dutch ministerial delegation headed by Dutch Minister of Education, Culture and Science Mr Ronald Plasterk visited the Neso China office in Beijing.

Other delegates attending the event included University of Groningen President Mr Sibrand Poppema, Stenden University Executive Board President Mr Robert Veenstra, Maastricht School of Management Outreach Programmes Director Ms Amy Wang, Netherlands-China Arts Foundation Coordinator Ms Ellen Adriaanssen, Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) Director-General Mr Bai Zhangde and Nuffic Director-General Mr Sander van den Eijnden.
 

Study in China and Go West

A short presentation was given by Mr Jacques van Vliet, Director of Neso China, to introduce the main functions of Neso China to the ministerial delegation. The Study in China and Go West campaigns were given special attention. Minister Ronald Plasterk held a brief talk with the assessment section to discuss the quality of Chinese students in the Netherlands and the supervising function of Neso China in relation to Dutch schools.
 

Feedback

The ministerial delegation has been very positive in its feedback about the visit, expressing its great appreciation for the work Neso China has done over the past year.

Additional progress is anticipated in the near future.
