Opening of Neso Brazil

The official opening of the Neso office in Brazil on Thursday 11 December 2008 was a success.
With live music, drinks and finger food, the party was complete with the presence of important partners and representatives from the Dutch Embassy, CAPES, the Delegation of the European Commission to Brazil, the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and many others.
Highlight
The highlight of the event was the office’s official opening by Nuffic’s Director-General Sander van den Eijden, who came all the way to Brazil for the inauguration. After an introduction speech by Neso Brazil's Director Remon Daniel Boef, the Director-General conducted the inauguration speech with great enthusiasm and humour, completing the ceremony by cutting the orange tape - already a tradition at the Nesos!
Brasilia
Located in the middle of Brazil in the capital of Brasilia, close to the ministries and government-allied higher education organizations, Neso Brazil will promote Dutch higher education country-wide and stimulate and set up initiatives for cooperation between the Netherlands and Brazil in the area of higher education and research.
